Located in the Southern coastline of England, University of Southampton was established in 1862.

Today, with more than 50 years of its existence as a standalone university, it has established a reputation that cannot be bettered. It has 7 teaching campuses, wherein students enroll under various graduated and post graduate degrees. Out the 7 campuses, the main campus of the university is located in Highfield, Southampton, 4 more campuses are in the city itself. While, the 2 other campuses - Avenue and National Oceanography Centre houses Faculty of Humanities and Ocean and Earth Sciences.

With so much to offer, undoubtedly the student strength of the university is also quite remarkable – about 16,000 and above students are enrolled under undergraduate course, and more than 7,000 in postgraduate degree course. One of the major achievement of the university, is that it is the member of Russell Group, which conducts academic research in Alzheimer’s and cancer.
