Originally established as Tsinghua Xuetang, Tsinghua University was renamed National Tsinghua University in 1928. Popular for its strong training and research, it is also one of the members of C9 league (Alliance of elite Universities in China) Universities.

University comprises over 15 schools and around 50 departments specializing in numerous areas of study. Disciplines include- Engineering, education, medicine, history, law and economics among others. The university enrolls more than 45,000 students coming from 125 countries including 20,000 undergraduates and more than 25,000 graduate students.
